Most criticism is derived from comparison.  But I believe that one of the worst mistakes one can make is thinking that something is wrong with them because they are not like someone else.  Perhaps the initial criticism is even catalyzed by the same insecurity.  If that was who you were, then that would be who you were.  Esotericism is the most natural thing in the world; after all, nobody’s experiences are identical and therefore neither are their perspectives.  Forcibly bending to be compatible with others can only lead to a lifetime of conflict with oneself.
